The Olm, also known as proteus anguinus, is a European amphibian found in underwater caves. Although not much is known about this rare creature, its strange anatomy and adorable face have been capturing the hearts of scientists since their discovery. Olms are incredibly adaptable creatures that can survive for up to ten years without eating and have a life span of nearly ten times that.
